Trisha and Ray's Engagement Session

I just can't say enough about these two! Sweet, kind, funny, goofy, in love, yada yada yada I could go on and on. I had the honor of shooting their engagement session today here in Santa Barbara. They're from down south and they are having their wedding here at the Santa Barbara Zoo!

We started off with some lunch at The Palace, went for a final cake tasting and then had some fun running around at the beach. The Palace is always a fun place to eat. I still can't stop laughing because as we were walking out, there's a painting on one of the walls that really looks like Ray! Trisha says so matter of fact, "honey, they have a painting of you on the wall!" and every time I look at that picture, I just can't stop laughing!

It only gets better from there... we stop by to see Robyn, the "cake lady" and she made Trisha and Ray a sample cake for them to take home and try. We all dug right into that thing and practically finished it off. Talk about a GOOD wedding cake! She's tucked away in her little "secret" location and the only way for you to learn about her secret cake factory is to go and see for yourself, so please do!

Here are just a few pictures from a really fun engagement session! Watch the slideshow too!

WPPI Las Vegas!

Once a year there is the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International trade show held at Bally's in Las Vegas.

Once a year I go to see the latest and greatest, meet the latest and greatest and also try to become the latest and greatest in my trade!

Once a year I soak up as much new trade info as possible, create a new "gotta have it" list, connect with some of the most amazing people in the industry and make some amazing new friends.

This year was no different!

A bunch of people organized a bridal shoot on the strip. This was a ton of fun! Here are some of my pictures of the bridal shoot that took place during the show.

Vegas Golf with my brother and Dad!

My brother from Baltimore came out to Vegas for a vacation and to visit with my parents so we all got together and played some golf. It's been a while for me but I love golf and the course where my parents live is absolutely gorgeous!

We always have a great time when we get together and playing golf at The Revere in Sun City Anthem was pretty cool. The course was beautiful and as you can see in the pictures I had my fair share of playing out of the sand!

My dad hasn't played in at least 15 years and he was hitting straighter than I was!?! Go figure.

The brothers Mia

I don't get to see my brothers too often so when we do get together, it's what my sister-in-law calls "the circus is on fire". It's like that pretty much whenever my family gets together but especially with my brothers.

We wanted to get together while we were all in Baltimore for Christmas for a group shot, but like I said before, time flew by! One of the last nights that we were all together, after Ro was done taking his super nap on the recliner and after Rey and I were done conquering the last boss in Gears of War on the Xbox 360, we decided that we had to get a picture of the three of us together. We were so tired and haggered at 3am but we just had to do it.

Here we are, Ro, Rey and Me left to right! I love these guys, don't really know what I'd do without them.

New Years Wedding at Hotel Andalucia, Santa Barbara

I had the honor of shooting a beautiful, intimate and private wedding for Constance and Arnold at the Andalucia in Santa Barbara on New Years Eve. These are two wonderful people with such caring families! It was a classy wedding held in the presidential suite overlooking the beautiful Santa Barbara. Here are some images from their day.

I hope everyone had a great holiday!

Wow, the holidays sure did come and go quickly! I have family all over the place so we all decided to meet up in Baltimore where my oldest brother and his family live. I have a brother that lives in London so he and his family flew out too! Now of course I miss everyone but I really miss my nieces and nephews the most!

I can't believe how big they're all getting! The oldest is a teenager now, what the heck!?! Anyway, I ran around as much as I could, ate as much as I could, played as much as I could and didn't sleep as much as I could... all this left me with a big fat cold when I finally got home to Santa Barbara! It was all worth it!

Here's Sarah being Sarah, cute and adorable and Dad doing what he does best! She lives in London now and I hope she comes back to Santa Barbara soon, I miss her so much. It's so cool though, she used to live in Ireland before they moved to London in July and she has a little Irish accent! I love it!

Ben Ben Ben! He spent 8 hours putting together a 5000 piece lego model of an Imperial Star Destroyer together right before I got on my plane. He woke me up all through the night up until I left at 5am showing me his progess, I love this guy! I'd like to think he did it so I could see it done before I left, but he's so incredible when it comes to models and complex projects. When he starts something, he has to finish it. This guy is going to be an architect when he grows up!

Beautiful Rachel is such a rockstar, little lady, jock, brain, and everything in between. I can't believe how old she's getting.

Sarah and her brother Jordan have become the best of buddies since they've moved out of the country. They were playing battle bots or something, Jordan won and Sarah lost, too bad! Jordan looks just like his dad! This little guy is precious and sweet, I can't take it!

I had the best time with everyone!
